Joel Forsstrom

Country of Origin: USA

Joel studied English literature and philosophy for his undergraduate degree. After graduation, he moved to China to teach high school, planning on staying for only one year. Enjoying the challenges of teaching and adapting to a new culture, he decided to teach for two more years at the university level. A love of learning led him to pursue a master’s degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He completed his degree at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, taking graduate level courses in a wide array of subjects in Chinese. In July of 2019, he began his current position as a college counselor in Ambright’s Nanjing office. Joel looks forward to helping students navigate the application process and believes his diverse experiences in America and China leave him well-placed to help students achieve their goals.

Morgan Bakewell

After studying Education and Youth Studies with a focus on international higher education at Beloit College, I moved to China to live and work. This is my fourth year as a college counselor.

Words to the students:Education, like many aspects of life, is a buffet. Show up, avoid the things you don’t like, and consume until you can’t consume any more; return the next day and do it again.

Collette Barrow

Country of Origin: USA

I have obtained a B.A. in Psychology at C.U.N.Y. York College. As a former counselor, I have helped students improve their writing and oral communication skills; developed and practiced grammar and pronunciation drills; assisted students in various English school activities and I have developed ESL curriculums appropriate to students’ learning abilities and needs.

Collette老師來自紐約，大學(xué)主修心理學(xué)，2015年大學(xué)畢業(yè)后即來到中國加入安生教育集團(tuán)從事國際教育，指導(dǎo)濟(jì)南、合肥兩地課程班學(xué)生，經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富，擅長幫助學(xué)生提升口語表達(dá)及英文文書寫作水平。通過在校內(nèi)定期與學(xué)生開展一對一面談，對學(xué)生們的背景規(guī)劃給出了中肯的評估和定位。經(jīng)過Collette的悉心輔導(dǎo)，有多位學(xué)生成功進(jìn)入美國前30及英聯(lián)邦國家前5大學(xué)。

Ryan Michael McCormick

I’m a social and behavioral sciences graduate from Seton Hall University with a concentration in sociology. While in college I developed a keen interest in education after participating in a volunteer reading program for 2nd and 3rd graders where I got firsthand experience in seeing the importance of my influence and impact in shaping young minds. This led me to working with elementary aged students as an educational ambassador in the Zhejiang province. Now, as a foreign counselor at SEHS I’ve had the pleasure of applying all of my experience and knowledge as well as playing an integral role in guiding high school students on their journey to college abroad.

Words to the students：As we usher in a new school year during unprecedented times it’s important for students to remember powerful words spoken by Malcolm X: “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.”

Ryan老師畢業(yè)于美國密西根大學(xué)安娜堡的社科專業(yè)，同時(shí)擁有英國、韓國的教育背景。從事國際教育超13年的他對于國際教育和本科申請有著寶貴而豐富的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，擅長指導(dǎo)國際學(xué)生申請美國大學(xué)，于2019年加入合肥升學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)。

在學(xué)校大家親切地稱呼她為可妮老師?？赡堇蠋煯厴I(yè)于美國新澤西州的一所天主教私立大學(xué)，主修社會學(xué)專業(yè)。

Kenicia2016年來到中國**，2017年在濟(jì)南的課程班任教至今，已指導(dǎo)了三屆畢業(yè)生?？赡堇蠋熅礃I(yè)，專業(yè)度強(qiáng)，對學(xué)生**充滿熱情，指導(dǎo)的學(xué)生被芝加哥大學(xué)、范德堡大學(xué)、加州大學(xué)洛杉磯、劍橋大學(xué)、帝國理工等眾多英美名校錄取。
